The game was at 1pm on Saturday, so Kyle and I had time for a quick breakfast, a short nap, and a shower before we headed to the pre-game tailgate. We love seeing everyone, and it was great to have so much of the family there. Princeton played hard in the first quarter holding Yale to a 3 point lead, but unfortunately Brendan was hit in the hip (a reoccuring injury) which took him out for the remainder of the game. Even after being given shots of every kind of cortizone shot known to man, he was still in too much pain to play. We were bummed, more for Brendan because he was unable to finish the last home game of his career at Princeton, and we knew he was feeling bad that we had all flown out to watch him play. We did get to see him ride the exercise bike though! =)
After three turn arounds at the Princeton 3 yard line, we lost the game 27-6. After the game we tailgated again and then all 38 of us went out to dinner together to celebrate Brendan's career as a football player. After dinner we headed back to the Jersey shore to get some rest. Then we hoped on a plane Sunday afternoon to head back to Orange County. It was such a fun trip! Here are some pictures from the game.
