Jacob's Baseball Game

On Thursday night Katelyn and I met up with Kyle's family to watch his cousin Jacob's Single A baseball game. Jake did such a great job, and we even got pictures of him sliding home. After the game we all went out to Red Robin to celebrate a great game.

Mother's Day

Katelyn and I had a play date with Steph, Jaden and Ashlyn today. We went to Rascals to Rebels and then to the Spectrum to walk around and have some lunch. As we were leaving Jaden asked if he could play in the water so we decided to strip both kids and let them enjoy the cold water on a warm day. Katelyn loved watching Jaden run around and splash water. She kept giggling and pointing at him. I can't wait till she can walk so they can run around together. Guess I'm going to have to start bringing her swim suit with me from now on, just in case.

A Day at Disney

My best friend from high school, Ayse, had planned a trip to visit me this weekend, but due to severe morning sickness had to cancel her trip at the last minute. She was coming out to spend some time with Katelyn and I and we had planned to go to Disneyland on Thursday and Friday, then the beach on Saturday. Well even though she was unable to come, I still had 2 free tickets to Disneyland for today so my friend Jessica and I decided to take Katelyn and her oldest Jake. It was a gorgeous day and not too crowded at Disneyland. When I say not too crowded I mean that the lines were 15 minutes long or shorter. Jake and Katelyn had so much fun riding the rides and seeing all the Disney characters. We even got a picture with Goofy. Katelyn kept trying to pet him!! Too funny! We spent the morning at Disneyland and then after lunch headed over to California Adventure before heading back to Disneyland in time for the parade and one last ride on Pirates of the Caribbean. Poor Jake, he was so tired, he fell asleep before we make it to the ride and slept through the whole thing. Katelyn even tried to wake him up, but he was out.

Happy 60th Wedding Anniversary

Last weekend Katelyn and I headed to Massachusetts to visit my Mom, Nana and Papa. It was my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary and so I flew out to help them celebrate. I was a little nervous about flying alone on such a long flight with Katelyn, but she did amazing! On the way over she made friends with all the people around us, crawled up and down the center isle and took a nice long nap in my lap. On the way home she slept 4 of the 6 hours, it was great! Katelyn and I arrived on Thursday evening and my Mom, Papa and cousin David picked us up from the airport. Mom and I were staying at a local hotel so after saying a quick hello to my Nana, Auntie Emilie and cousin Amy we were off to the hotel to get some rest.

Friday we spent the day at my Nana and Papa's house enjoying some time with the family. I haven't seen my Auntie Emilie and cousins Amy and Daniel in 10 years so it was so great to catch up with everyone. Auntie Emilie, Uncle John and Amy are missionaries in the Czech Republic and my cousin Daniel lives in Utah where he's part of the Air Force.

Saturday we woke up early to help get everything set up for the 60th Wedding Anniversary celebration luncheon. There were about 55 people that came: neighbors, family and friends. Some people I haven't seen in so many years. Since I was the official photographer for the event, I spent most of the afternoon running around making sure I got a picture of everyone who came. It gave me a chance to chat with everyone there. Plus it was nice to have so many babysitters so I didn't have to worry about Katelyn. She had so much fun making new friends and hanging out with her Grandma.

Sunday was a day of relaxation and recovery. I was feeling pretty under the weather and ended up sleeping an extra 3.5 hours in the hotel room while Mom took Katelyn to church with her. Not sure I would've made it through the day without those extra hours of sleep. After church Mom came and picked me up and we spent the day at my Nana and Papa's house. My aunt and cousins were gone all day at church so Katelyn was able to spend some time with her great grandparents. They had so much fun watching her dance to Bidwell's music, crawl around, and chat up a storm.

Katelyn learned how to drink from a straw during our trip. Her grandma got her some fun sippy cups with a straw and it only took her about 5 minutes to figure it out. This has officially become her favorite new sippy cup.

What a cutie!!

These pictures were take a couple weeks ago at Kyle's dad's; sister, Leah; and Grandma Circle's birthday celebration. It's so hard to believe how big she's getting and how it seems to be happening overnight. As much as I'd love to tell her to slow down, I'm constantly amazed and excited by how intuitive and intelligent she's become.

MORNING SICKNESS!!

That pretty much sums up why I haven't blogged since April 24th. All that's about to change. I'm going to catch you all up on what we've been up too. It's been a busy couple of weeks!
