First Baby Doctor's Appointment
Yesterday I had my first doctor's appointment to confirm my pregnancy and have an ultrasound to determine our due date. I had thought that I was 8 weeks along, but it turns out that I'm 7 weeks give or take 4 days. Give or take 4 days is what they said with Katelyn too and she came 4 days early, so I'm pretty sure our next little one will arrive early as well. Right now our due date is set at December 10th and if I opt to have another c-section (yes my doctor is giving me the choice to go the natural route), then we can have the baby as early as December 3rd. The ultrasound showed that everything looks great and I even got to see the babies heart beat. Katelyn loved watching the ultrasound screen and when I told her we could see the babies heartbeat she clapped. Too cute!! I just know she's going to be a great big sister. Kyle and I are thrilled that everything looks good and other than the 24/7 nausea that has begun to settle in the last couple days, I'm feeling great. Our next appointment is in 4 weeks.

Strawberry Patch
On Sunday morning we took a tour of the Sierra Madre Vineyard and being that the Circle family was a strawberry family for so many years we had to stop and take pictures of Katelyn in the strawberry fields that are growing on the ranch. Katelyn loves strawberries and we could tell she really wanted to eat them, but since we didn't know when they had been sprayed with chemicals last, it wasn't an option. Even though she couldn't eat them, she had fun playing in the strawberry field and posing for some pictures. Poor thing was so hot, it was 100 degrees out!! She was a trooper though and even graced us with a couple of smiles. I don't know Grandpa, she looks like a strawberry poster child!!
Santa Barbara County Vintner's Festival
I'm sorry I'm falling behind on my blogging. I've been so tired lately trying to keep up with Katelyn, who is actively crawling all over the place now, and growing our little "Macgyver." Last weekend our family made the drive north up to Lompoc for the Santa Barbara County Vintner's Festival to pour the family wine. This year the weather was beautiful and there were some great wines and food to choose from. Of course I was only able to enjoy the food for the 2nd year in a row because I am pregnant. I love going to the festival, meeting new people and enjoying the atmosphere. People who come are truly wine connoisseurs and you have to know your stuff when pouring. Katelyn did awesome, she checked out the sights and the people form her stroller and played on her blanket with her toys. Since the festival was from 1-4, Kyle and I took off a little early so we could get her down for a nap before dinner. She needed her energy for the Wing Ding, which is code for a Santa Maria bbq with music. Here our some pictures from our afternoon.
Our wine: Sierra Madre Vineyard
We served strawberries that are grown on our ranch. They were a hit!
Katelyn trying to get in on the wine action. "Watch out, Uncle Brendan!"
Katelyn trying to walk without much help. Too cute!
I love my grandpa!
Family photos during sunset at the Wing Ding. Katelyn loved watching the goats in the field behind us.

Happy Easter!!
Today we announced that I am going to be a....
BIG SISTER!!
Yes, you read right, Mommy is....
PREGNANT!
It was a beautiful day in Corona del Mar and what a celebration we had. We celebrated the resurrection our our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and we celebrated the new addition coming to our family in November. Kyle and I are so excited to announce that we have a "bun in the oven." Even Katelyn is excited, so excited that we had our friend Jeanne make Katelyn her own little "Big Sister" shirt to wear for the next several months. We are guessing that we are about 7 weeks along and so far I'm feeling great and other than a little more tired than normal, no morning sickness thus far. My first doctor's appointment is on April 23rd so I'll know more then.
Mariner's Church Easter Egg Hunt
Yesterday Kyle and I decided to take Katelyn to her first Easter Egg Hunt at Mariner's Church. We wanted to attend the 6p.m. service so we thought it would be fun for Katelyn to enjoy the hunt as well. Church was AMAZING!!! I am always touched by Kenton Beshore's messages. I believe God truly speaks through him. If you aren't going to make it to church, please visit their website and watch the podcast of this service, it is emotional but you will feel the presence of the Lord moving in you. Praise to be God, He is RISEN INDEED!!
After the service we picked up Katelyn from child care and headed out to the big church lawn. There was a little section for the 0-3 year olds filled with Easter eggs. Katelyn had so much fun sitting in the grass, surrounded by eggs. Although all she wanted to do was put them in her mouth and suck on them. It was too cute!! I think she had a good time, but I'm sure next year she'll have more fun because she'll know what's going on.
Today we're heading down to Kyle's parents house to celebrate Easter with family and friends. I love getting together with the family and it's such a beautiful day for a celebration.
Big Bang Friday Night
Kyle and I love going to a couple Angels games every season. It's a great way to reconnect with friends while enjoying a hot dog, licorice rope and beer. Big Bang Friday night is always my favorite night at the game. Not only do you get to enjoy a great game, but then there's fireworks afterwards. While I was excited that the Red Sox were in town (go team!!) it was a very somber and emotional driven game due to the unfortunate death of the Angel's young up and coming pitcher only 2 nights before. The game started with a tear jerking tribute and a moment of silence for this young man and his friends. Even though I didn't know him or hadn't even seen him play, I felt tears welling up for him, his family and his friends. I'm so glad that the Angels played hard and won the game in his honor. Sorry Red Sox!! You know I always want you to win, but I think they needed to win this one in honor of the pitcher they lost. Our good friends The Welches came to the game with us... we always love spending time with John and Christine! We had so much fun, chatting, telling jokes, and laughing throughout the game. Thanks you guys for coming with us, we had so much fun!

Playing in the sand
Katelyn decided that after laying down for an hour she was done napping, much to my disappointment because I was looking forward to a nice, long nap. In her defense, she did fall asleep in her stroller while we were walking around Fashion Island this afternoon, so that could be why she didn't nap as long. Grandma Jan and I decided to put Katelyn's swimsuit on and head down to the sand for a little while. It was late in the afternoon, but the weather was still warm and gorgeous. Katelyn cried when we first got down there, but then she was all smiles as she played in the sand.
