Katelyn's 18 Month Check Up

Today I took Katelyn to her 18 month wellness check up. It's always fun to see where she's at developmentally and learn new ways to challenge her.

Weight: 25.2lbs (60th percentile)

Height: 32 inches (60th percentile)

Well Katelyn has finally graduated from the 50th percentile, which is exciting. For a while it seemed that she wasn't growing, height wise, very much between appointments. Her vocabulary has not only increased but she is also using short sentences and is becoming quite the verbal communicator. She is able to recognize some animals and can even tell you what sound they make. She can count to 3 and is more frequently using many of the signs we taught her over the months. She has always loved books, but now has her favorites that she will sit and want us to read to her over and over again. Her very favorites being a book called, "I Love You This Much" and one called, "I Love You Through and Through."

She is definitely a little bundle of joy and is doing a great job being a big sister. She loves cuddling with me while I nurse and holding her baby brother. I know as she gets bigger she's going to be my little helper and a little bossy older sister to Brayden. Thank you for all your prayers and support. We love that you read our blog and have fallen in love with our little ones along the way.

I took these pictures when I got home from the doctor's office. Katelyn had to have 2 shots today and she handled it like a champ, barely crying. When she got home all she wanted to do was get her baby brother out and hold him. Since she did so well, I was happy to oblige. It melts my heart to see how much she loves him. You can't miss it, it's written all over her face in all the pictures.
